What is your earliest memory surrounding fashion?
I remember always playing dress up when I was a little girl. I was around 4 years old and I was obsessed with my Cinderella costume and would wear it every single day. It was a two-piece set; the skirt was a beautiful shade of blue in this silky material and it was long to ground. The matching top had short balloon sleeves with white lace. This was the beginning of my fashion career!
What does fashion mean to you?
To me, fashion is a form of individualism and self-expression. It allows me to reveal my personality by using visual imagery. I believe someone’s fashion sense says so much about them.
Where do you go to be fashion inspired?
I don’t like being a follower or a copycat which is why I try to avoid browsing social media for inspirations. I like using my own creativity to make unique outfits, create original pictures and portray a different aesthetic overall. But for those uninspired days, I’ll use Instagram to get some ideas flowing.
What three words would you use to describe your personal style?
I would categorize my style as minimal, neutral and elegant. Although I prefer a simple and neutral look, I always try to stand out from the crowd by styling my outfits with unusual pieces while also keeping it classy.
What is your favorite silhouette?
Having an hourglass shape, my favourite silhouette is definitely Mermaid as it flatters my curves and embraces my figure.
Who is your celebrity style crush?
This is a very interesting question as I do not have a celebrity style crush. I honestly don’t really follow any celebrities nor their style. As I previously said, I like coming up with my own looks as it tells my story not others.
If you could raid anyone’s closet, who would it be and why?
I would raid my mom’s closet without a doubt. I absolutely love her style, it’s so classy, different and out of this world! Since I was a little girl, I would always dream of going shopping in her closet. She has many pieces from the 90’s that are currently very trendy such as bell bottoms, baguette bags, vintage jewellery and so on. I’m planning on creating an Instagram reel titled “Pieces I got from my mom’s closet”. Super excited for that so stay tuned!
What are your current fashion obsessions?
I’m in love with baguette bags, criss cross halter tops and flared pants! I find them so fun to style, super trendy and classy.
What are three fashion pieces you think every girl should own and why?
Definitely a little black dress, a good pair of jeans and white blouse. I think these are essential pieces in a woman’s wardrobe that can be styled so many different ways. A little black dress can easily be styled differently with accessories whether it’s a scarf, a belt, a jean jacket and so on. As for the jeans, you can’t go wrong with a basic pair of denim. It can be dressed up or down depending on the shoes, tops, and bags that you pair with it. In regards to the white blouse, it can be worn as a bathing suit cover up, as an off the shoulder top or simply be worn as a button down for any family or work event.
What is your favorite item of clothing and why?
Jeans are by far my favorite item! No matter where I’m going, you will most likely see me in a pair of skinny jeans (yes, I know they are no longer in style but I’m rocking them!) They are so easy to style, you just throw them on with a cute top with either heels or sneakers. Jeans always make your outfits look effortless and put together while also looking cute and chic. My go to outfit is and will always be jeans and a black top.
