What are your two favorite brands from STYLEFAV?

What has been your life’s greatest adventure this far?

Most people would probably answer this with a holiday or travelling to a certain part of the world, but for me I find every single day of my life is an adventure. I moved out at the age of 18 so learnt very quickly how to manage myself and live how I wanted to live, I’m crazy independent so I’m always planning my next move on where I want to go in life but I still get a lot of surprises along the way! I used to work as a commercial dancer and now I’m a small influencer, model and makeup artist which if you asked me a few years ago I never thought would have been possible! Having that huge career switch probably is one of my greatest adventures so far and more from a growth perspective, I learnt so much about myself, my values and who I really was as a person as at my stage of being a dancer I was having personal battles with Body Dysmorphia which really affected every aspect of my life and I felt like I lost myself. Being able to break away from all that and completely rebuild my life with a fresh start gave me a new meaning of life, I realised I was so much more than my mental health and I was capable of so much more, there were a lot of struggles along the way but now I’m on the other side I am genuinely a whole new person and a better person for it and I love being able to use my platform to help others and support them on their own journeys! Life really brings so many hurdles and challenges but it also gives the biggest rewards, it’s a whole adventure in itself.

Describe your personal style?

My personal style has always had a lot of ‘tomboy’ influences, when I was younger I was a total tomboy and it definitely carries on with me now in my personal style. I try to incorporate glamour and a tomboy look together so there will always be an edge to my look. My hair and makeup will always be full beat but then I love going about my day in an oversized tracksuit set that completely drowns me! Comfort is key as they say;) Fashion is how I express myself so that is my go-to look but I definitely love switching it up and staying on trend as that’s when I feel at my best.

What three words would you use to describe your aesthetic?

Only three words is so tough!! I feel there can be so many words to describe it! I’d have to go with 1) Urban 2) Contemporary 3) Cohesive

Describe the outfit that makes you feel most confident.

I have so many!! In my eyes everyday’s a catwalk so I’m always dressing to be my most confident. My current favourite is a baby blue oversized blazer dress, a white belt to cinch in the waist, white 6inch heels and a white small bag ( a lot of white I know! ) then to finish off add my gold rings and LV necklace with a pair of oversized chunky sunglasses. When I wear this outfit the blazer just gives me pure boss energy and confident AF vibes, I feel undefeatable and the baby blue and white colouring gives it such a summer feel so always gives my mood a boost as who doesn’t love the summer.

Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?

My biggest fashion rule is colour combinations, I’ll never use more than 3 colours when picking an outfit, majority of the time only 2 colours would be involved. To keep it looking clean and well put together if too many colours are used everything starts to clash and there’s nothing to focus on it, all just gets a bit messy! For example let’s say the colours were red, black and gold, I’d go for red shoes with maybe an element of red in the top then black bottoms & top with gold detailing in jewellery. This way each colour is broken up so each element of the outfit is eyecatching in its own right yet the visual as a whole draws together to look sharp and clean. When choosing colours I always keep in mind the colour wheel and colour theory so can choose colours that compliment each other and not clash, e.g blue and yellow ( primary colours ) are opposites on the wheel and would clash whereas blue and purple ( a secondary colour ) sit next to each other so compliment one another. My second key fashion rule is always accessorising to match the outfit, I love finishing off my look with some accessories but always remember that if the clothing is bold then accessories should be more simple and visa versa. It really is all about the details in the outfit but too much can make or break the look.

What has been your most exciting moment since becoming an influencer?

My most exciting moment was when I began to work with Lounge Underwear, it was my first big brand that I secured a contract with and it was such an overwhelming feeling as I have always looked up to the brand as they are so influential in body positivity and celebrating all women. Working with them on the #feelyourbreast movement for Breast Cancer awareness was such a highlight as it is a movement that hits close to home for everyone and being able to share important information and raise money whilst having fun was so incredible to be apart of and was really a dream come true to be able to use my platform alongside such a big brand to spread and raise awareness. I work so closely with them now I love them to bits and I never could have imagined that it’s my life!!

Quote you live by?

The one quote I absolutely swear by is “everything happens for a reason”. I love this quote as on bad days it reminds me there’s a reason behind the madness and some good always comes out the other side, even if you can’t see the reason behind something in that exact moment it always makes itself clear soon enough and there’s always a bigger blessing behind it. Another quote I love is “what’s meant to be will be” as in time if jobs, relationships, friendships are meant to be in your life then one way or another it will be. The universe truly works its magic and it’s all about trusting the process.

What are three skincare tips you can offer to our readers?

Everyone who knows me will know I used to be sooo bad with skincare but the past 2 years it has really become part of my daily routine. My first tip is that remember makeup wipes are a big no go. They never remove your makeup thoroughly and the chemicals in them can be so damaging for your skin! Instead stick to micellar water or a cleanser with cotton pads, I personally love the rose cleansing milk by Garnier, I promise your skin will love you for the switch! Second Tip is always moisturise, I know a lot of younger girls usually miss out this step as we feel our skins fine and doesn’t need it but trust me your skin will thank you later, and there’s never any harm in hydrating the skin and keeping even more soft and radiant than it already is. My last tip is skin care doesn’t need to be a lengthy process. Everyone’s skin type is different so what works for one person won’t always work for another, just find a good 3-4 products that suit your skin and stay consistent with them. Personally I have super oily skin so use oil free products, I’ll use micellar water to take off my makeup, cleanser to really clean out my pores and get rid of any dirt, then a toner to tighten the skin back up. Finish all that off with a bit of moisturiser and lip balm and i’m all set!

What are three hair care tips you can offer to our readers?

I love keeping my hair bright and blonde so hair care is so important for me. Similar to skin care, hair care will vary from person to person as we all need different routines to keep our hair fresh! But I do have some basic tips that everyone can use to keep their hair sleek and beautiful; 1) Always use a leave in conditioner after washing your hair, most of the time after washing out conditioner in the shower it will all completely wash out so the hair won’t have the full benefits. Leave in conditioners give time for your hair to soak up the nutrients and strengthen and also prevent your hair from dry ends and splitting. 2) Using a hair mask about once or twice a month to really give it some TLC, we all love a facemask and our hair is the same, a hair mask that includes keratin, argan oil, coconut oil etc. will give your hair the biggest boost and keep it extra healthy. 3) heat protection!!! It seems so simple but so many of us miss out on heat protection. Investing in a good quality heat protection spray is a must as it gives a coating over the hair to protect it and prevent heat damage which can cause dry hair, breakage and split ends. Investing in good quality products is super important, it’s so easy to grab a high street brand off the shelf but those products involve a lot of silicone based formulas that over time build up and can do more damage to your hair than good!

Picture yourself in three years what are you wearing?

In three years it’s so hard to picture what I would wear. Even now I look back at what I would wear from a year ago and the difference is crazy! I’d hope to still be in love with my oversized fits, a lot of fashion now is very 90’s & 00’s inspired so maybe I’ll be seeing more of that in my outfits as I feel that won’t be going any time soon! I want to maintain my aesthetic but allow it to grow as fashion really is ever changing. So I guess check back in three years time to find out;) !!
