How did you zone in on and solidify your personal style?

Throughout my whole life I’ve played around a lot with my style. I’ve always been fairly feminine in the way that I dress and have never been afraid of colour or taking a bit of a risk! Within the last couple of years though, my wardrobe has become a bit more minimalistic (though I still LOVE a statement piece). I’m learning that I appreciate classic and clean over super trendy and that I’d rather have a more concise wardrobe than one filled with a lot of fast fashion pieces that I’ll only wear once or twice. I think I zoned in on solidifying my style when it came time for me to get a job after high school and have to spend my own money on my clothing – it was ensuring I was spending wisely on wardrobe and really loving everything I own!

Who is your favourite fashion icon?

It’s always changing! The classics are always on my list like Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly. Right know though I really look up to Danielle Bernstein of We Wore What in terms of style, her style is a guiding force for me.

Do you have any personal fashion rules when putting together an outfit?

Not particularly, I don’t like to be limited. I mainly consider what looks good on and whether not I’ll feel confident in an outfit given the setting I’ll be wearing it in.

Yoga or Running?

I feel like I’m literally on the brink of death when I’m running so definitely yoga.

What was the best style advice you’ve ever received?

That all you really need is a few good foundational pieces (like a great pair of jeans and/or a white t-shirt).

Who are your favourite fashion designers?

Christian Dior is my favourite – particularly his ultra feminine silhouettes from the 1947 ‘New Look’ collection. It’s everything someone who loves the aesthetic of Old Hollywood glamour would love!

What are 2 brands you’d want your followers to know about?

I love the Polish designer Magda Butrym who I discovered through Instagram, her stuff is unique, edgy, and feminine all at once. I’ve also been obsessed with the brand Sleeper, who could say no to pyjamas fancy enough to wear to a cocktail party?

What has been your greatest adventure?

University (so far)! Not because I had the most fun on campus (I didn’t) but because you learn so much about your own interests, and about how the world works. I’ve probably learned more from my experience as a University student than I have in lecture halls and seminars themselves.

What are two countries you think everyone should visit?

Italy and Israel!

What’s the greatest advice you’ve ever been given?

If you don’t ask for it, you’ll never get it.
