Describe an outfit that makes you feel most confident.
A halter top or dress always make me feel most confident! This style gives me a lot of confidence because it shows off my shoulders. I did not like my broad shoulders growing up. It wasn’t until my latter years that people would notice how beautiful my shoulders were. I never knew that growing up. Nonetheless, it truly boost my confidence.
Describe your personal style.
I have may styles. Depending on my mood and where I’m going, I will often dress how I feel that day. With my free spirited attitude, a bohemian style fits my personality. Love the classic styles as well. I have a mix of styles. So many of my wardrobe is a mix of classic, bohemian and trendy. I mix and match all. I like to be different.
What inspired you to become an influencer?
It actually just happened. My audience would often comment on my beautiful smile and the positive energy that I exude from my photos. I want to inspire others especially women my age that it’s never too late to enjoy life.
What has your greatest adventure been?
Vacationing in Australia would have to be my greatest adventure! Traveling solo down under was quite adventurous to say the least. It was there where I did my first sky and scuba diving experience at 51!
What is one thing our readers would be surprised to learn about you?
I think many will be surprised that I am 55! I surprise many of my audience when they find out how old I am.
What is your favorite thing about travel?
Definitely learning and experiencing a new culture and meeting strangers along the way. Most of all, getting lost as I discover new paths while exploring a new city. This is where many of my travel stories begin.
Where is your favourite place to travel and why?
I love Madrid and Tuscany, but my favorite is Lake Como. It’s a small place with so many things to do. I love the small towns with its unique qualities. Each one very different from the other. I don’t need a car but a bike is sufficient to take me places. I like the fact that I can just hop on a ferry to the next town.
What is one country that everyone should visit and why?
I think Spain and Italy is a must visit because of its historical aspect besides its beauty.
So far in life what has been your greatest adventure?
I would have to say going on a nine hour bike tour in the outskirts of Bangkok. I will never forget this adventure because it made me see another part of the world that I would not have seen otherwise. I saw what it was like behind the beautiful waterfront hotels along the Chao Praya River. Also, I experienced taking different modes of transportation with my bike and ending it with having to take my bike on a long escalator ride to the sky train.
What are some tips and tricks you use when preparing for a trip?
Pack lightly and only bring the essentials whether traveling to a warm or cold climate. No need to bring 5-7 pair of pants . Taking 2-3 is sufficient as long as they are dark colors. Traveling to a cooler climate is easier, but also still sticking with 3-4 pair of shorts or skirt. I bring a few scarves to change a look or to add color.
