How do you start your day?
I have two boys, so my day starts by getting them ready to concur the world. We always eat breakfast together and discuss the day’s activities (and break up a few fights here and there).
What does a typical day in your life look like?
Making lunches, feeding kids, taxi the kids to school, volunteering, walking dog, grocery shopping, cleaning house, gym or walk with friends, pick up kids, homework, baseball, basketball, Peter Pan play practice, Chinese lessons, make dinner, drink lots of wine, phew!!
Hair done or hair messy?
I would prefer to have a glam squad come to my house every morning to do my hair but for the meantime, I usually only have time for messy 🙂
What are 3 skin care tips you can offer our readers?
Don’t fall asleep with your makeup on like I tend to do so often! Exfoliate and find a good day/night cream. SUNSCREEN!!
How would you describe your personal style?
Funky. I have learned not to care so much. If I want to wear a tutu at my age, I’ll wear a tutu gosh darnit! No rules should apply to your style.
What inspires your personal style?
I am that annoying person who is staring at you on the street…checking out your outfit and trying to imagine a way I can recreate it with the clothes in my closet. I also love scrolling through Instagram and Pinterest to find different styles I like and then adding some of my personal flare.
What are some of your favorite fashion brands?
My go-to brand is Free People but let’s be honest… My style changes so much so I am a firm believer in affordable fashion. I have a few expensive pieces in my closet but also can’t resist a good deal. I usually end up wearing the shirt I got on sale a lot more than the one I paid a ton of money for.
What is one thing every girl should have in their wardrobe?
A good pair of jeans! And a staple jacket or sweater that can be worn with anything.
Describe your favorite outfit.
If I put on an outfit and it makes me want to strut across a stage like Beyoncé….then that is my new favorite. I have to feel good in it….my favorite outfits are the ones that you want to make sure you are seen in because they are THAT good.
What's one thing our readers would be surprised to learn about you?
I used to be painfully shy when I was younger. Like “please don’t talk to me because that means I will have to talk to you and I’m too nervous” kind of shy. But now, if you talk to me, we will most likely become best friends right away.
