Where do you go to be inspired?
I get inspired with the scenery around me. I love driving around my neighborhood or finding new places. I also get inspired while looking at artwork. Everything really just gives me little ideas of how I want to dress or style an outfit. Whether that be mixing patterns, incorporating florals, or being bold.
What inspired you to start blogging?
I started blogging in 2015 after a trip to New York. I had always been a major fashion girl and loved reading all about the runway shows and predicting trends. At that point, I realized that I could put all of my thoughts on a blog and meet like-minded people, which I have!
What is your favorite aspect of blogging?
My favorite aspect of blogging is knowing that I’m creating a community with my posts. I love knowing that I am not only giving people some advice, on whether they should make the investment of a Gucci belt, but also helping them find their own style!
What’s the greatest advice you’ve ever received and who was it from?
The best advice I received was from my mom and she said, “nobody pays your bills” and honestly it changed my life. I realized I was letting so many negative and hateful thoughts live in my mind, RENT FREE. I had always been so concerned with what other people thought of me or what they would think if I did this or that and this is really when I was like none of that matters. If they’re not paying my bills, they shouldn’t get a say on what I do with my life.
Describe your personal style?
My personal style is always changing. I love dressing with the seasons so in the Summer, I’m very floral and bright. However, in the Winter I love going for strong chic looks and nice boots.
Describe the outfit that makes you feel most confident.
I wouldn’t say there is an outfit that makes me feel the most confident, however, having on a nice pair of shoes does.
f you could collaborate with any brand to create a capsule collection which brand would you collaborate with and what pieces would you create?
There are so many beautiful brands that I love. However, if there was one that I could collaborate with, it would be Ted Baker. I would create a classic dress with my own little touch to it
If you could style any celebrity who would it be and why?
If I were to style any celebrity, it’d be my mom (she’s my celeb)! I love how her style is very free and not confined so I would have a lot of fun with that.
How do you feel about fashion trends and are there any fashion trends that have become staples in your personal style?
One fashion trend that I haven’t had the heart to get rid of is sweater vests. I know they’re going out of style, but I still have such love for them so I’m having trouble.
Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
My only rule in fashion is that you wear designer brands, but don’t let them wear you. Mixing too many flashy labels is not fashion to me, having style to me means being modest and knowing when you’ve accessorized just the right amount.
