What is one thing that can always put a smile on your face and why?
One thing that can always put a smile on my face is my class full of third graders. I am a third grade teacher and absolutely love my kiddos. Everyday I am showered with hugs, notes, and compliments from my favorite little people. Even through remote learning, my students have been able to brighten my day and remind me why I do what I do.
Describe your personal style?
My personal style is a mix between what I call “spunky chic” and “casual cute.” I am all for bright colors, fun prints, and creating my own trends. I love taking different pieces of fashion and making them my own unique look by mixing and matching. I am all about having an outfit that I can dress up, but at the same time I can easily dress it down.
What is one outfit that always makes you feel confident?
One outfit that I always feel confident in are dresses and rompers with a nice heel or bootie.
What is one thing you can’t leave the house without?
One thing I can’t leave the house without is coffee. That’s right coffee. I know most people would choose their cell phone, but coffee trumps technology anyday. If I know I am going somewhere that will not have coffee that I can access, I brew up some on my own and put it in a cup before heading out.
What are some up and coming brands that you want your followers to know about?
Some up and coming brands that I want to tell my followers about is Virgo Boutique and H Kyle Boutique. Both of these boutiques are local to where I live, but anyone can shop with them. They both are owned by amazing hard working women and have the cutest clothes and accessories to go with it.
Which fashion era would you have liked to be a part of? 80’s 90’s etc.
I honestly would LOVE to have been around in the 1950’s and be apart of the movie “Grease.” I adore the fun skirts and dresses as well as teased hair that this era embodied. I love how there was no care in the world and everyone just danced. This era screams happiness to me.
Heels or Flats?
This is a tough one for me! Obviously everyone wants to wear flats as they are far more comfortable, but being a petite and short woman, I love a good pair of pumps. I feel like my legs are stumpy if I wear flats with a dress, so I prefer to wear heels to make myself look longer. Also I ran track for 6 years. so my calves are still popping in my heels!
What are some of your current beauty and fashion obsessions?
Some of my current beauty obsessions are a bright and fun bold lip and mascara that lengthens my lashes. My all time favorite pairing is L’Oréal’s primer, Telescopic, and finally Lash Paradise (in that specific order.) My favorite fashion obsessions is paper bag shorts/pants, bold & bright prints, asymmetrical style anything, and one piece cut out swim suits. I also will always be a fan of rompers and jumpsuits no matter if they go out of style or not. Bellbottom jeans with a silky lace camisole is always one of my go to looks if I want to be dressed up but comfortable!
