Coffee or Tea?

Coffee, especially a latte.

What inspired you to decide to start blogging?

I always enjoyed taking pictures and sharing things that I have interest in with other people, so a blog was a great way to do both of those things in a creative way.

What does your current skincare routine look like?

At night I will use Micellar Water to remove makeup, then I wash my face with La Roche-Posay cleanser, after patting my face dry I will apply Thayers Witch Hazel Facial Toner with a cotton ball on my skin. Then I apply RoC Multi Correxion Anti-Aging Eye Cream to my eyes and then lastly I will moisturize my face and neck using Avene Hydrance Riche Hydrating Cream. Two to three times a week I will give my face a deeper cleaning using my Foreo Luna and then use the Caudalie Moisturizing Mask. For my morning routine I simply splash my face with warm water (no cleanser), pat it dry, spray it with Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir Spray, and then apply a daytime moisturizer like Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion.

What are two of your holy grail skincare products and why?

The Foreo Luna and Josie Maran Intensive Creamy Argan Oil. The Foreo Luna is a great tool to use for a deeper cleaning treatment which unclogs the pores and removes dead skin cells reducing signs of aging. The Josie Maran Creamy Argan Oil is great to mix in with my nightly moisturizer when my skin starts to feel very dry and dull. I always wake up with a softer, glowier complexion the next morning after using this product and a little bit goes a long way, so it lasts a long time too.

What skincare tips can you offer our readers?

First, good skincare starts from the inside, so make sure you stay hydrated and eat good natural foods to start the process off right from the beginning. Next, simplicity is key. You want to keep your routine simple and use more natural products since your skin will be absorbing what you put on it and harsh chemicals can cause very bad reactions. I use an app called Think Dirty where you can look up products and they will tell you how “dirty” they are by listing all of the ingredients in the product and ranking them by how bad they are for the skin and what kind of reactions they can cause. And lastly, don’t wash your face in the morning. If you are washing your face day and night, then you are removing too much of the face’s natural oils and skin microbiome which keeps the skin healthy and keeps it from breaking out.

If we gave you $200.00 what beauty products would you buy that you don’t own right now?

I personally love Caudalie products, so I would purchase the Caudalie VineActive Overnight Detox Oil, and the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum.

Describe your personal style?

My personal style is classic, neutral and simple. I like things that can easily be matched together to look timeless yet effortless.

What are some of your current fashion obsessions?

I love classic pieces such as a white button-down shirt , a navy V-neck sweater or a pair of darker wash skinny denim jeans . Since summer is right around the corner, I am also loving a good short sleeve poplin shirt at the moment too.

What is your favorite fashion piece in your closet?

A black crew neck sweater that I purchased in a boutique in London this past fall. This sweater is so soft and is the right balance between fitted and loose and never pills. I find myself reaching for this sweater a lot, especially when it’s colder outside. It’s a great piece to wear to relax at home or to wear out to run errands or get a coffee with a friend. It truly is versatile.

What are 3 songs that have to make it to your life’s soundtrack?

Oh, What A World by Kacey Musgraves, just a great song to make you feel happy to be alive and to enjoy the beautiful wonders of the world. Sun Starts Smiling by Blank & Jones, just a fun summery sounding song (summer is my favourite season) that reminds me of long leisurely days at the beach with your toes in the sand and the sound of the waves crashing. And lastly, Let It Go by Dragonette. Not only is this just a fun upbeat song, but it also has a very uplifting message of being able to let go of those things that are out of your control and just be one with the world as it is.
