What is your favourite thing about Instagram?

I love how your followers become friends, I can ask for advice, and share really personal thoughts and feelings. Everyone is so encouraging and positive.

How would you describe your Instagram aesthetic?

My aesthetic is very fashion focused. I write a lifestyle and petite fashion blog called Dollface Diaries so my Instagram is a way to share my looks.

Where do you find inspiration to create content for your Instagram?

My inspiration comes from my everyday life, I live in the beautiful city of Chicago and it’s so full of unique and interesting locations to shoot. I also pull inspiration from other creators I look up to.

What is your favorite piece of clothing that you own and why?

Oh that’s so tricky. I think my YSL monogram Kate bag and my Dior Slingback shoes are the pieces that bring the most joy. I have so many beautiful items that have recently come into my collection that I can’t wait to wear.

What are 5 fashion tips you can offer to our readers?

1. Be confident.
2. Make your own fashion rules.
3. Dress for yourself.
4. If you’re feeling less than confident strut like you’re walking down the runway at Paris fashion week. People will notice and think you have all the confidence in the world.
5. Have fun with fashion, step out of your comfort zone and try new things, it may surprise you.

What are of your current two guilty pleasures?

Making pancakes and listening to Selena Gomez.

Where is one place every person that visits NYC should go?

I love Brooklyn, but because I live in Chicago I think if you’re going to travel to a US city Chicago is where you should go! Public transportation is so easy to use, and we have some of the most incredible restaurants. In the summer there are outdoor concerts almost every weekend, take a trip to the beach and end your evening at a rooftop bar with the best city skyline view imaginable.

Which fashion era would you have liked to be a part of? 80’s 90’s etc and why?

I would have loved to be a part of the 60s or 70s I love the classic beauty and femininity of the 60s and then the natural flowy ease of the 70s. I’m a boho girl at heart.

What are three songs that have to make it to your life’s soundtrack?

High Horse – Kasey Musgrave
You’ve Got an Expensive Heart – Hellogoodbye
This is Twice Now – Lydia

What’s the last thing you googled?

How to airbrush in photoshop.
