What is one thing you are grateful to have happened in 2020?
This year was challenging in so many ways. While it was difficult to adjust to a completely new lifestyle, I am so grateful for the newfound luxury of time. I was able to grow not only as a creative, but also as a human – the time allowed me to appreciate the people in my life, evaluate my priorities and connect with myself spiritually.
What inspires your fashion expression?
My fashion inspo changes constantly. I draw inspiration from vintage magazines, runway shows, music, my favorite tv shows, even colors around me.
What does fashion mean to you?
Fashion is my love language. It’s a way of letting the world know how you feel, it becomes your identity and self expression. I’m a very emotional person and so I style my outfits based on the energy I am feeling in the moment. Fashion manifests itself not in just clothing, but also as a creative outlet for my art and fantasy.
What are the most worn and least worn pieces in your fashion collection?
My vintage oversized blazers are the most worn piece. Blazers are a great investment because they go with everything, no matter the season or occasion! Definitely haven’t worn a sequin dress in ages! And probably won’t anytime soon.
Who or what inspires you?
Music, nature and the daily check ins with my partner that help keep me motivated and hyped.
What is your go to coffee order?
Cold brew with a splash of almond milk (I’m a simple gal when it comes to caffeine lol).
What are 5 things fashion, beauty or lifestyle you think every girl should own and why?
A classic blazer to make any outfit super chic, your favorite parfum so you can smell your best, a classic red lipstick, an all black outfit, and your feel good playlist for the vibes.
What are three things you think everyone should know about NYC?
Sleep really is useless in NYC. There is something in the air that makes you restless (in a good way) & inspires you to hustle.
The NYC community is resilient and creative – and we have the best pizza 🙂
The concrete jungle has more green than you might think!
What are 3 styling tips you can offer our readers?
Do you for you! It’s amazing to take inspiration from fashion around you, but don’t wear something just because it’s a “trend”. Wear what YOU love and feel in the moment.
Invest in key pieces that will be a part of your wardrobe all year around- try to avoid fast fashion by visiting thrift stores & vintage shops.
Sometimes less is more! When in doubt, keep it chic and simple.
What is your favorite memory and why?
Countless memories! But right now I’d go back to a hot summer night in the Bahamas, with my best friend – martinis in hand, laughing and dancing the night away on a beach.
