Colorful, playful, and empowering.
How did you develop your Instagram aesthetic?
I am naturally drawn to color; it makes me happy to have bright colors around me! I focus a lot on women empowerment and equality, and I gravitated towards my Instagram aesthetic because it feels inviting and accessible. It took a few years to really find an editing style, but I think that is something most photographers go through.
Where do you go for inspiration?
If I am looking for style (fashion or home decor) inspiration, or even a good quote to lift me up, I hit up Pinterest! My husband and I are avid movie watchers, and so I also draw a lot of inspiration from the films and shows we watch.
What three words would you use to describe your personal style?
Bright, trendy, and feminine.
Coffee or tea?
Tea! I found an instant ice tea maker and make a quart at a time to sip on.
How would you describe your personal style?
First and foremost. I dress for my bodystyle! If you’ve ever heard of Kibbe, I have a Soft Dramatic body type, so I look for silhouettes that drape nicely while also showing off my waist. I’d also describe my personal style as bold; I am not afraid to try new styles!
How would you develop your personal style?
Again, I’d start by getting to know your body type. Fashion, like makeup, is a way to express yourself, but also a way to bring out your best features! Discover the colors you like to wear and the comfort level you’re going for, and the outfits should come more easily!
Do you have any current fashion obsessions?
I’ve gotten more into loungewear and athleisure this past year (mainly due to being stuck at home with the Pandemic). It’s been fun to dress-up clothes that are traditionally for wearing at-home and being comy.
What’s been your greatest life adventure so far?
Honestly, taking the leap to quit teaching high school to pursue my personal business (which is blogging)!
