What are your two favorite brands from STYLEFAV?
Girlfriend Collective and Free People. I love how Girlfriend Collective uses materials from recycled water bottles and I personally own a few of their pieces. I also love Free People because of the cool California style it represents since I’m from California myself.
How do you start your day?
I usually start my day by stretching and having a glass of lemon water! Or if it is one of those days where I have no time (which happens a lot), it’s straight to brushing my teeth and washing my face.
How do you feel about fashion trends?
I think fashion trends are fun! Fashion is constantly changing and moving through cycles. Whatever is in now, might be out later, but will come back in style again and I think that’s really cool. Therefore, I think trends are fun but definitely not always timeless!
Have any fashion trends become staples in your personal style?
Yes! I would say oversized or looser fitting jeans have become staples in my personal style. I thought I’d never stray from skinny jeans…but here I am! Although I will probably wear my skinny jeans until I’m 70 (haha).
If you could go back in time and tell your past self DON’T WEAR THAT! Describe which outfit that would be.
Hmm. This is tough but I think everything that I’ve worn has been a sign of the times. Therefore, I don’t really regret any outfit because it was in style at that moment in time! But if I had to think really hard, it would have to be my flower crown outfit. I would never wear flower crowns ever again!
How do you feel about luxury fashion?
I feel that luxury fashion is worth it for investment pieces that you know you would enjoy for years to come or even a lifetime. I am a firm believer in purchasing for quality over quantity if possible. As for trendier items I wouldn’t purchase luxury.
What’s the most expensive fashion item you ever bought and what drew you to that item?
The most expensive fashion item I ever purchased was my Gucci Dionysus handbag. Every time I use and look at it, it brings me joy! What drew me to that item was the longevity of the piece and the design. It is striking yet neutral at the same time, and makes any outfit look much more luxurious than it really is!
What three words would you use to describe your personal style?
Minimal, simple, chic.
What item in your closet do you wear the most?
Has to be my jeans and comfy t-shirts. You can’t go wrong with jeans and a nice crisp tee.
If you could raid anyone’s closet, who would it be?
I would love to raid Aimee Song (songofstyle)’s closet! She’s always wearing such beautiful pieces that fit her well.
Picture yourself in 25 years what are you wearing?
Honestly, jeans, a simple white t-shirt, and probably a nice luxury handbag 😉
