What is your favorite item of clothing and why?
Oh, well now you’re going to make my whole closet hate me for picking favorite’s lol! If I had to pick one item though it would definitely be this oversized cardigan I got from Marshall’s. At the moment, I am just obsessed with it and wear it with so many looks because its neutral, versatile, and cozy!
Describe an outfit that makes you feel most confident.
I feel most confident when I know I have executed an outfit head to toe. For me, it’s very important when creating a look to make sure all details are on point. I have a somewhat bolder style than most, and love to play around with my clothing so I always feel my most confident when I know I’ve created a look.
Do you have any personal fashion rules when putting an outfit together?
ZERO. I never follow trends or play by the rules, because I don’t think one should ever limit themselves when it comes to fashion!
How would you describe your personal style?
I often get asked this question, but always find that I can’t pinpoint exactly what my ‘style label’ is. My style honestly differs based on my mood. One day you might catch me in sweats and sneakers and another in an elaborate outfit with multiple pieces, but best believe on both days you’ll always catch me in a fly fit 😉 I like to switch things up often, and stand apart from the trends, which I guess would constitute my style as bold and unique at best.
What message do you think your personal style sends?
I think my style represents confidence. No matter what I am wearing, I will always walk around as if the world is my runway. I am confident in my style and that speaks volumes through my outfits.
If you could raid anyone’s closet, who would it be?
Oh boy there’s so many it’s hard to pick just one! I would say my top choices would be Joie Chavis, Rihanna, Kylie Jenner, or Chanel Dijon.
What are the first items you gravitate towards when you go shopping?
Colors and prints! I always tend to navigate to the items that stand out. I already have a ton of clothes so anything that can grab my eye is a must-try.
What are your current fashion obsessions?
My current fashion obsessions are joggers and pastels. Since the start of the pandemic there really wasn’t anywhere to go other than the store, so I would find ways to still look cute while doing so. For me, this meant jazzing up my normal sweats into fly streetwear fits. Whether it be more tomboy looks or more girly and fun looks, joggers can be switched up so easily and I love pieces that are effortless. I normally am either just a neutrals or bold colors girl so finding the medium through pastels has been a fun switch up as well. With spring coming up, I have especially loved seeing all the new collections start dropping their pastel themed pieces.
If you could style any celebrity for any event, who would it be and where would they be going?
Rihanna would definitely be my top choice. I would love to style her for an editorial shoot or themed-event such as the Met Gala. She has such an edgy and daring style, that no matter what you put her in she still kills it just with her looks and confidence alone. Plus, her personality would make it so fun to work with her because she doesn’t seem as though she would mind taking any sort of risk pertaining to fashion.
Picture yourself in 20 years what are you wearing?
You’re aging me here, lol. While I don’t have just kids yet, in 20 years I will (hopefully) have almost finished raising all my children so I will soon be out of “soccer mom mode.” In saying this, my hope is to be just as fly as I am now even as a mother. I probably will be in something similar to my style now. Joggers, a cute tank, fur coat, sneakers or heels, and of course accessorized head to toe. I will be that mom no matter what 💁🏽♀️ sorry kiddos!
