1.High-Waisted Rise

High waisted jeans are perfect for accentuating your waist and hiding those areas that you would rather not have the world not see. These jeans often sit higher than your natural waist and will sit close to and in some cases even cover your navel. High-waisted jeans create a more flattering silhouette and will make your legs longer. 

2. Original / Regular Rise

Regular rise jeans are the most common type of rise and the original type or rise for your jeans. The regular rise will fit you between your belly button and your hips and should feel natural and comfortable all day long.

3. Medium Rise

Mid rise jeans will sit lower than your original rise jeans. These jeans will sit on top the hip bone. This rise is popular like the original rise and offer the same level of comfortability as well.

4. Low Rise

Low rise jeans were most popular in the early to mid 2000.s , this rise will fit on your natural hip line.  Low rise jeans are for much more casual and style aesthetics and though they haven’t been very popular since the 2000s, they are set to make a comeback in the upcoming seasons. 

5. Ultra Low Rise

Ultra low rise jeans sit well below your natural waist line. These jeans sit on the lower part of your hips about four to five inches blow your belly button.

Rise is just as important to getting the perfect feel in your jeans as the fit. The rise of a jeans can determine how you may structure and style your outfit and the way you feel in it. Each rise has a different feel and you may lean towards on rise on one day over another so try them out and see which one feels best on you.
