How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style is a mix between street, feminine, and business wear! I love mixing my blazers with graphic tees, cargo pants, and heels. Casual hoodies, puffer jackets, and heels are my go-to going out outfit. If I’m staying home or running errands, you’ll always see me in sweatpants, sneakers, and a crop top.

How did you develop and solidify your personal style?

My style reflects different phases in my life. It’s always been an ongoing evolution, and I really developed it just by learning more about who I want to be and how I want to communicate that. In any given scenario, I dress in what makes me feel confident, comfortable, and unstoppable.

Who/What inspires your personal style?

A couple of things inspire my personal style. I always think of the future woman that I’m destined to become and I imagine the lifestyle that she lives – how she acts, her daily routine, her goals, what she values, etc. My future self is my biggest inspiration, and I owe it to her to become the best version of me. Additionally, I pull so much inspiration from my mom! She loves being bright and bold, whereas I wear neutral. She loves jewelry, statement pieces, and dresses timeless and sophisticated every day. She is the very first person who taught me to style clothes, and I’m lucky she lets me wear her tops now and then. She inspires me tremendously, and I’ve learned so much about fashion from her.

What is your favorite thing about fashion?

The artistry and process of designing fashion. The collaboration between artists to make an idea come to life. Styling pieces together to create a vision. My boyfriend Joshua is a streetwear designer, my best friend Sonam is a jewelry designer, and my best friend Amneet is a women’s suit designer. The three of them are also stylists, and they’ve really impacted the way I experience fashion. There is so much history and detail in the fabric, the origin, and the production of designing both clothes and accessories.

Sneakers, Heels or Flats?

I am 100% a sneakers girl! But I absolutely love my heels.

What are 3 things you think aspiring influencers should educate themselves on?

1. Monetizing your platform effectively
2. Growing your audience through collaboration
3. Creating a media kit

What equipment would you suggest to an aspiring style influencer?

I use my iPhone Xr for all my photos and videos. This includes editing my photos using my editing app as well. I edit my photos is by using the app called ‘Tezza’, and then using the editing tools on the ‘Photos’ app to add finishing touches. I don’t do anything fancy at all. The easiest way to take your photos is by doing batch photoshoots with a friend who knows and understands your angles. Bring three outfits, visit three locations, and you can get your photos done within one hour. If your friend won’t be able to come with you, put your iPhone on a tripod and use self timer. It works every time.

What is your favorite item of clothing?

My favourite item of clothing right now is my Frontrvnners Streetwear ‘Rvnners’ graphic tee in vintage grey.

List 5 pieces every girl should have in their fashion collection.

1. A pair of flattering jeans that fit you like a glove
2. A fitted black blazer
3. A warm longline beige trench coat
4. A pair of comfortable white sneakers that you can wear anywhere
5. A white v-neck shirt

Do you have any fashion rules when putting an outfit together?

I always accessorize – I love gold necklaces, earrings, and rings. Accessorizing your outfit makes a huge difference. I never leave the house without my 5 rings – each ring stands for an important relationship in my life: my boyfriend, my childhood best friend, my grandma, and my mom (I wear two rings that represent her).
