What is your definition of style?
For me, style is what makes someone special and unique in front of others, what makes you stand out from the crowd.
What’s the best fashion advice you’ve ever received and who was it from?
A personal shopper in Spain once told me: wear what you want to wear but do it the best way you can.
What three words would you use to define your personal style?
I think they would be creative, risky and fresh.
How did you develop your personal style?
Creating a unique style takes some time, because there are times when we want to adapt to several styles or fashions at the same time, so the strategy is to start trying different ways of doing things and getting to know our body, our tastes and then see what works and what doesn’t. I really want to highlight the fact that I’m constantly nurturing and evolving my personal style. I started developing it through exploring the world of fashion, finding some references and that’s when I realized how fun and incredible it is to express myself through clothes.
Where do you go to be style inspired?
It’s good to have some references, but never copy. I get inspired seeing fashion blogs, magazines, fashion shows, Pinterest and some influencers, then I try to have one or two “creative days” a month, where I start matching the clothes I have in my closet with the new ones I’ve bought, creating super cool outfits.
Picture yourself in 25 years what are you wearing?
Lol, one of the hardest questions I’ve been asked, but there is a reality and it is that we change over the years and we don’t know what is going to go through our minds by that time, but if I was to answer NOW, I think I would use more “serious” clothes; more neutral colors, maybe I will not be wearing chunky soled tennis shoes anymore, or shirts with a lot of mini or giant prints and I don’t think I would wear a lot of accessories the way I do right now, but something I know for sure, is that I will never lose my essence of trying to be risky when it comes to dressing.
What are six pieces you think every guy should have in his fashion collection?
If you could collaborate with any brand to create capsule collection which brand would you choose and what fashion pieces would you create?
I really admire what Balenciaga does, I would like to collaborate doing jackets, hoodies, t shirts and some sneakers, woaaah this would be a dream come true.
What are three must have accessories every man should own and why?
Accessories will always be a good idea to complement any outfit. The “must have” in a man’s closet would be: a pair of sunglasses, a chain and a cool bag.
What has been your greatest life adventure so far?
When I lived in Barcelona, that was awesome!
