How has 2020 impacted your personal style?
2020 has been a life changing year for most of us and like many others I no longer needed to show up at an office so my work clothes went to the back of my closet. I’ve been exploring a sexier side of fashion, it’s been so much fun experimenting with pieces I would never look twice at before this year.
When did your love for fashion and beauty start?
I remember being a little girl obsessing over how my mom looked like a superstar in her fancy clothing and beautiful makeup. It’s safe to say I have been in love with fashion since I was a child, wobbling everywhere in my moms heels.
How would you describe your personal style?
I would say classic chic but then again everyone has a different meaning of that. I definitely love keeping sophisticated pieces in my closet that fit me beautifully and incorporating trends that still stay true to me.
Do you have any personal rules for putting together outfits?
The only rule I have is to be honest and true to yourself. Don’t try to chase trends that don’t make you feel 100% confident. Fashion has no rules in my opinion, just wear what makes you feel good!
How did becoming a mom impact your personal style?
I still remain true to my own fashion because I am a firm believer that moms can still be sexy, fashionable and extra. Now I’ve just learned to cut the time I take to get ready in half! I know a lot of moms go for comfort and function to make their lives a little easier but fashion is my happy place so I make sure to include time for myself in that way.
Heels, flats or sneakers?
I am not me without my heels!
What is your favorite thing about sharing your love of fashion with your daughter?
I love matching outfits with my daughter but what I love most is seeing her come into her own sense of fashion. I love how she really takes her time to put an outfit together, I think it’s really sweet how serious she takes it because she sees it’s one of my passions.
What are 5 pieces you think every girl should have in her fashion collection?
A blazer for sure, a go-to Jean that fits just right, a statement coat that can take any outfit up a notch, an all black outfit- because you can never go wrong with all black and accessories, accessories, accessories!
What is your favorite season to style and why?
Fall has to be my favorite season. I love the autumnal colors. I also love layering and transitioning pieces I wore in the warmer months.
What are you looking forward to most in 2021?
Im looking forward to getting back to some type of normalcy like holidays with the entire family and hugging my friends. I’m also looking forward to growing my audience, not only do I love sharing my fashion but I like to send out messages of positivity for all my ladies because I know how hard the world can be on us.
